The Real Thing cares about the health of South Africa, its unique and biodiverse environment, and that of all South Africans, those that are The Real Thing customers and those that are not. While it would be in The Real Thing's financial interest for more people to depend on supplements as a result of the toxic, nutrient-deficient food in our broken food system, we feel that everyone has a right to health. We feel that this can be achieved. In October 2019 we sent a legal request to eight Ministers including the President of South Africa, outlining the problems with the current status quo, and detailing what needs to be done.
